Jaipur Consumer Court Orders Arrest of JDA Officers Over Plot Allotment Dispute

A Jaipur consumer court has ordered the arrest of two senior Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) officers, including Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan, for failing to provide a resident possession of a lottery-allotted plot for years. The resident, Krishna, was allotted Plot No. 454 under the Nilay Kunj Housing Scheme but never received possession. After multiple legal challenges by JDA failed, Krishna filed a contempt petition alleging the plot was allotted to someone else. The court directed police to produce the officers.

जयपुर उपभोक्ता अदालत ने दो वरिष्ठ जयपुर विकास प्राधिकरण (JDA) अधिकारियों, जिनमें कमिश्नर सिद्धार्थ महाजन भी शामिल हैं, की गिरफ्तारी का आदेश दिया है। यह आदेश सालों से लॉटरी से आवंटित प्लॉट का कब्जा देने में नाकाम रहने पर सुनाया गया है। निवासी कृष्ण को नीलाय कुंज आवास योजना के तहत प्लॉट नंबर 454 आवंटित किया गया था, लेकिन उन्हें कभी कब्जा नहीं मिला। जेडीए की कई कानूनी चुनौतियों के विफल होने के बाद, कृष्ण ने अवमानना याचिका दायर कर आरोप लगाया कि प्लॉट किसी और को आवंटित कर दिया गया था। अदालत ने अधिकारियों को पेश करने का निर्देश दिया है।
