NCST Orders Report on ST Reservation Denial

The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) has initiated an inquiry into allegations of denied reservation for Scheduled Tribe candidates at the Fluid Control Research Institute (FCRI) in Kanjikode, Keralam. A complaint was filed by Radheesh Gopalan, secretary of the Palakkad district committee of Kerala Vanavasi Vikasa Kendram. The NCST is using its constitutional powers to investigate the matter. The Ministry of Heavy Industries has been directed to submit a report within 15 days, with potential civil court powers to be exercised if they fail to comply.

नेशनल कमीशन फॉर शेड्यूल्ड ट्राइब्स (NCST) ने केरल के कांजीकोड में फ्लूइड कंट्रोल रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट (FCRI) में शेड्यूल्ड ट्राइब उम्मीदवारों के आरक्षण से इनकार करने के आरोपों की जांच शुरू की है। यह शिकायत केरल वनवासी विकास केंद्रम की पालक्काड जिला समिति के सचिव राधेेश गोपालन ने दर्ज कराई थी। NCST इस मामले की जांच के लिए अपनी संवैधानिक शक्तियों का इस्तेमाल कर रहा है। भारी उद्योग मंत्रालय को 15 दिनों के भीतर रिपोर्ट जमा करने का निर्देश दिया गया है, और यदि वे अनुपालन करने में विफल रहते हैं तो सिविल कोर्ट की शक्तियों का प्रयोग किया जा सकता है।
