The Kerala High Court has granted pre-arrest bail to a woman accused of throwing her newborn from a hospital window. Justice Kauser Edappagath stated there was insufficient evidence to prove intent to cause death. The court noted the accused has no criminal history and her custodial interrogation is unnecessary as the investigation is nearly complete. Bail was granted with conditions including a ₹1 lakh bond and weekly check-ins.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने एक महिला को गिरफ्तारी से पहले जमानत दे दी है, जिस पर अस्पताल की खिड़की से नवजात को फेंकने का आरोप है। जस्टिस कौसर एडप्पागथ ने कहा कि मौत का इरादा साबित करने के लिए पर्याप्त सबूत नहीं हैं। कोर्ट ने यह भी कहा कि महिला का कोई आपराधिक रिकॉर्ड नहीं है और जांच लगभग पूरी हो चुकी है, इसलिए हिरासत में पूछताछ की जरूरत नहीं है। ₹1 लाख के बॉन्ड और साप्ताहिक पेशी जैसी शर्तों पर जमानत दी गई है।
