Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Pune Metro's Pink Line by purchasing the first ticket and taking a ride. He traveled approximately 6 kilometers from the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi to Hinjewadi Phase 2. This new 23km elevated corridor is expected to significantly ease commute times for residents, particularly those in IT sectors. The inaugural journey featured an all-woman crew, highlighting women's roles in operating the city's public transport system. Several other dignitaries and elected representatives also joined the ride.
