The project aims to optimally utilize Godavari river waters for irrigation and drinking purposes across several districts. तेलंगाना के मंत्री भट्टी विक्रमार्क ने कहा है कि वे जल्द ही सुंकिशाला-रायचोटी-लिंगारेड्डी-पट्टिकोंडा (SRLIP) प्रोजेक्ट को पूरा करवाएंगे। इस प्रोजेक्ट से गोदावरी नदी के पानी का इस्तेमाल कई जिलों में खेती और पीने के लिए किया जाएगा। यह रायलसीमा इलाके में पानी की कमी को दूर करने और खेती को बढ़ावा देने के लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है।
