Indian migrant first charged under UK immigration law

An Indian national, Hem Raj (24), has become the first person in the UK to be charged under a new law targeting illegal immigration. He faces charges for creating online material promoting unlawful immigration to Britain, an offence under the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025. Raj is also accused of illegally providing immigration advice without authority. This marks the first time someone has been charged with this specific new offence.

ब्रिटेन में पहली बार एक भारतीय नागरिक, हेम राज (24), पर अवैध आप्रवासन को बढ़ावा देने के आरोप लगे हैं। उन पर आरोप है कि उन्होंने ऑनलाइन ऐसी सामग्री बनाई जो ब्रिटेन में गैरकानूनी आप्रवासन को बढ़ावा देती है। यह 'बॉर्डर सिक्योरिटी, असाइलम एंड इमिग्रेशन एक्ट 2025' के तहत एक नया अपराध है। राज पर बिना अनुमति के आप्रवासन सलाह देने का भी आरोप है। यह पहली बार है जब इस नए कानून के तहत किसी पर आरोप तय हुए हैं।
