JD(U) Flags Bihar's Water Needs Ahead Of Ganga Treaty Renewal

जद(यू) पार्टी ने भारत-बांग्लादेश के बीच गंगा जल बंटवारे की संधि के आगामी नवीनीकरण के दौरान बिहार के हितों की रक्षा पर चर्चा के लिए एक बैठक की। पार्टी नेताओं ने पिछली चिंताओं को उजागर किया और 1996 की मूल संधि में राज्य की उपेक्षा को दूर करने के लिए एक अभियान शुरू किया। उन्होंने औद्योगिक, पीने और सिंचाई उद्देश्यों के लिए गंगा जल की बिहार की वर्तमान आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। पार्टी का कहना है कि जब तक बिहार की जल ज़रूरतों को 2050 तक पूरा करने का आश्वासन नहीं दिया जाता, तब तक संधि का नवीनीकरण नहीं किया जाना चाहिए।
