Times of India - India · india

A specialist search using non-invasive scanning technology has identified 658 previously unmarked graves across two remote Australian cemeteries. The Central Darling Shire Council commissioned the project, which located 338 graves at White Cliffs Cemetery and 320 at Menindee Cemetery. While the identities of those buried remain unknown due to the passage of time, the findings provide a clearer picture of the historic burial sites. This information is crucial for future cemetery management, heritage preservation, and preventing accidental disturbance of these lost graves.
