The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has intervened to prevent Arunachal Pradesh from forfeiting more matches due to internal disputes. The state had already forfeited its Ranji Trophy fixture and failed to field teams in other tournaments amid a legal battle within the Arunachal Cricket Association. M. Khairul Jamal Majumdar has been appointed convener for independent selection trials across age groups and senior levels. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated the Board's priority is to protect players' interests and ensure their participation in domestic competitions.
