ऑल इंडिया कंज्यूमर प्रोडक्ट्स डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर्स फेडरेशन (AICPDF) ने 2 अक्टूबर को 'नो यूपीआई डे' विरोध का समर्थन किया है। उनका कहना है कि कुछ यूपीआई भुगतानों पर नए मर्चेंट शुल्क के कारण सालाना 7,000-9,000 करोड़ रुपये का अतिरिक्त खर्च आ सकता है। यह विरोध 15 अक्टूबर को 2,000 रुपये से अधिक के व्यक्ति-से-व्यापारी (person-to-merchant) लेनदेन पर 0.4% MDR लागू होने से पहले हो रहा है। AICPDF, जो 4.5 लाख वितरकों और 1.3 करोड़ खुदरा विक्रेताओं का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है, को दोहरे प्रभाव का डर है क्योंकि खुदरा विक्रेता वितरकों को भुगतान करते हैं। वे लागत वितरण पर बातचीत चाहते हैं, और बताते हैं कि FMCG के कम मार्जिन के कारण लागत उपभोक्ताओं पर डालना मुश्किल है।
