The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Centre and Maharashtra authorities regarding a petition filed by Sahin Fakir. His mother, Sahida, was allegedly detained and "pushed out" of India into Bangladesh in July without proper verification. The petition challenges the legality of the deportation procedure and the Immigration and Foreigners Order, 2025. Fakir claims his mother is an Indian citizen and permanent resident of West Bengal, with her Indian identity.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने केंद्र और महाराष्ट्र सरकार को नोटिस जारी किया है। यह नोटिस साहीन फकीर की याचिका पर आया है। याचिका में कहा गया है कि उनकी माँ, साहिदा, को जुलाई में बिना ठीक से जांचे भारत से बांग्लादेश भेज दिया गया था। फकीर का कहना है कि उनकी माँ भारतीय नागरिक हैं और पश्चिम बंगाल की स्थायी निवासी हैं। याचिका में इस निर्वासन प्रक्रिया को चुनौती दी गई है।
