Keralam Police Warn of Fake E-Challan Scam

Keralam police are alerting vehicle owners to a new scam involving fake e-challan SMS messages. Fraudsters send messages from private numbers with links that lead to fake government portals. Upon entering vehicle details, users are prompted to download a malicious APK file disguised as a verification process. This file can grant scammers access to sensitive information and device control. Police advise against downloading any APKs from messaging apps and recommend using only official MVD or Parivahan websites for verification.

केरल पुलिस ने ई-चालान धोखाधड़ी के खिलाफ चेतावनी जारी की

केरल पुलिस ने गाड़ी मालिकों को एक नए स्कैम के बारे में आगाह किया है। इसमें धोखेबाज प्राइवेट नंबरों से नकली ई-चालान वाले मैसेज भेज रहे हैं। इन मैसेज में दिए लिंक से नकली सरकारी वेबसाइट खुलती है। वहां गाड़ी की जानकारी डालने पर, एक मालिशियस APK फाइल डाउनलोड करने को कहा जाता है। यह फाइल स्कैमर्स को आपकी निजी जानकारी और फोन का कंट्रोल दे सकती है। पुलिस किसी भी मैसेजिंग ऐप से APK डाउनलोड न करने और केवल MVD या Parivahan की ऑफिशियल वेबसाइट इस्तेमाल करने की सलाह दे रही है।
