Congress Demands CEC Resignation, PM Modi's Resignation

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge demanded the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in electoral roll revisions. Kharge also called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resignation on moral grounds, accusing him of pressuring the CEC. Speaking at a Congress Working Committee meeting in Delhi, Kharge stated the party would protest in Parliament and on the streets. He outlined five demands including public data on roll changes and an independent probe into anomalies to ensure poll process transparency.

कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे ने चुनावी नामावली में कथित गड़बड़ियों को लेकर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञान प्रकाश कुमार को हटाने की मांग की है। खड़गे ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी पर नैतिक आधार पर इस्तीफे की भी मांग की, उन पर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त पर दबाव डालने का आरोप लगाया। दिल्ली में कांग्रेस कार्यसमिति की बैठक में खड़गे ने कहा कि पार्टी संसद और सड़कों पर विरोध प्रदर्शन करेगी। उन्होंने नामावली में बदलावों पर सार्वजनिक डेटा और चुनाव प्रक्रिया में पारदर्शिता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए विसंगतियों की स्वतंत्र जांच सहित पांच मांगें रखीं।
