Two Chandigarh Residents Lose Over ₹6 Lakh to Online Scams

Two individuals in Chandigarh have lost a combined total of over ₹6 lakh due to separate online fraud incidents. One victim, a retired bank manager, lost ₹3.13 lakh after downloading a malicious APK file while trying to obtain a pension card. The second victim lost approximately ₹2.95 lakh after calling a fake customer-care number for an online order issue. Cyber police have registered two First Information Reports (FIRs) and are investigating both cases to identify and apprehend the fraudsters involved.

चंडीगढ़ में दो लोगों से ऑनलाइन धोखाधड़ी की अलग-अलग घटनाओं में कुल ₹6 लाख से ज़्यादा की ठगी हुई है। एक पीड़ित, जो एक रिटायर्ड बैंक मैनेजर हैं, ने पेंशन कार्ड के चक्कर में एक खतरनाक APK फ़ाइल डाउनलोड करने के बाद ₹3.13 लाख गंवा दिए। दूसरे पीड़ित ने एक ऑनलाइन ऑर्डर की समस्या के लिए एक नकली कस्टमर-केयर नंबर पर कॉल करने के बाद लगभग ₹2.95 लाख खो दिए। साइबर पुलिस ने दो FIR दर्ज की हैं और धोखाधड़ी करने वालों का पता लगाने और उन्हें पकड़ने के लिए दोनों मामलों की जांच कर रही है।
