Delhi's government has intensified its crackdown on winter pollution, inspecting 1,232 construction sites and finding violations at 203 locations in four days. Authorities issued 66 show-cause notices and two closure directions, imposing ₹16.25 lakh in environmental compensation on Wednesday alone. The crackdown also targeted vehicles, with over 45,000 non-Delhi registered vehicles below BS-VI standards detected since November 1. These measures are part of the winter action plan to curb severe air pollution levels in the capital.

दिल्ली सरकार ने सर्दियों के प्रदूषण के खिलाफ अपनी कार्रवाई तेज कर दी है। पिछले चार दिनों में 1,232 निर्माण स्थलों का निरीक्षण किया गया, जिसमें 203 जगहों पर उल्लंघन पाया गया। बुधवार को अकेले 66 कारण बताओ नोटिस जारी किए गए और 2 निर्माण स्थलों को बंद करने के आदेश दिए गए, साथ ही ₹16.25 लाख का पर्यावरण मुआवजा भी लगाया गया। 1 नवंबर से अब तक BS-VI से नीचे के 45,000 से अधिक दिल्ली-पंजीकृत नहीं वाहनों का भी पता चला है। ये कदम राजधानी में गंभीर वायु प्रदूषण के स्तर को कम करने के लिए विंटर एक्शन प्लान का हिस्सा हैं।
