CISF Security Cover Extends to Airports, Metro, Nuclear Plants, and Taj Mahal

CISF is set to implement significant security restructuring, with separate commands for 250 ports and dedicated sectors for energy industries. Currently protecting 13 major ports, CISF's responsibilities have expanded greatly since its inception in 1969. Its duties now encompass 70 airports, the Delhi Metro, nuclear and space facilities, major industrial units, sensitive government buildings like Parliament, and even heritage sites such as the Taj Mahal and Red Fort.
