दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने केंद्र सरकार से उपवास कर रहे एक्टिविस्ट सोनम वांगचुक के स्वास्थ्य की नियमित जांच करने को कहा है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि हर जान कीमती है। डॉक्टरों का कहना है कि 9 किलो से ज़्यादा वज़न कम कर चुके वांगचुक के अंगों को जल्द ही गंभीर नुकसान पहुँच सकता है। कोर्ट ने दोनों सरकारों से ज़रूरत पड़ने पर मेडिकल मदद देने को कहा है। यह लद्दाख की सुरक्षा के लिए वांगचुक के अनिश्चितकालीन अनशन को लेकर बढ़ती चिंताओं को दिखाता है।
