Bengaluru BMTC to Pilot ADAS in 50 Buses

The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is launching a pilot project to install Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology in 50 buses. This initiative aims to significantly enhance passenger and road safety by monitoring driver alertness and behaviour. The ADAS will detect risks like drowsiness, distraction, forward collisions, and lane departures, providing real-time warnings to drivers. BMTC officials will also monitor safety events through a central dashboard, marking a proactive step towards accident prevention in the city.

बेंगलुरु मेट्रोपॉलिटन ट्रांसपोर्ट कॉर्पोरेशन (BMTC) 50 बसों में एडवांस्ड ड्राइवर असिस्टेंस सिस्टम (ADAS) तकनीक लगाने का एक पायलट प्रोजेक्ट शुरू कर रही है। इस पहल का मकसद ड्राइवर की सतर्कता और व्यवहार की निगरानी करके यात्रियों और सड़क सुरक्षा को काफी बढ़ाना है। ADAS उनींदापन, ध्यान भटकना, आगे से टक्कर और लेन से हटने जैसे जोखिमों का पता लगाएगा, जिससे ड्राइवरों को रियल-टाइम चेतावनी मिलेगी। BMTC के अधिकारी एक सेंट्रल डैशबोर्ड के माध्यम से सुरक्षा घटनाओं की निगरानी भी करेंगे, जो शहर में दुर्घटनाओं को रोकने की दिशा में एक सक्रिय कदम है।
