Jharkhand's Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar has urged district election authorities to accelerate voter enrolment efforts, as the state's electoral roll has only grown by 3.89% during the Special Intensive Revision. This figure is significantly lower than the anticipated 8% increase. The draft roll currently lists over 2.21 crore electors, with 8.59 lakh new applications received. Kumar emphasized the need to include all eligible citizens while preventing ineligible entries and directed officials to expedite digitisation of applications, especially in areas with below-average growth.
