Two Arrested in Punjab Youth's Suspected Drug Death

Police in Patiala have arrested two men, Boby and Gursevak, in connection with the suspected drug overdose death of 23-year-old Karanpreet Singh. The youth was found unresponsive and bleeding from his nose at a neighbour's house, just two days after returning from a de-addiction centre. His father alleges the duo murdered his son by administering a toxic substance. The victim's mother also accused the suspects of supplying drugs and criticised local police for inaction against drug peddlers. Further investigation is ongoing.

पटियाला पुलिस ने 23 साल के करणप्रीत सिंह की संदिग्ध ड्रग ओवरडोज से हुई मौत के मामले में दो लोगों, बॉबी और गुरसेवक को गिरफ्तार किया है। युवक को एक पड़ोसी के घर में बेहोश और नाक से खून बहता हुआ पाया गया था, जो नशामुक्ति केंद्र से लौटने के सिर्फ दो दिन बाद हुआ था। उसके पिता का आरोप है कि दोनों ने जहरीला पदार्थ देकर उसके बेटे की हत्या की है। पीड़ित की मां ने भी संदिग्धों पर ड्रग्स सप्लाई करने का आरोप लगाया और ड्रग डीलरों के खिलाफ स्थानीय पुलिस की निष्क्रियता की आलोचना की। आगे की जांच जारी है।
