A Ganesh Puja in Howrah, West Bengal, has sparked controversy with its 'Hindu Rashtra' theme, featuring a statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi alongside Lord Ganesha. Organisers stated the theme, a personal initiative, aims to symbolise the nation and religion, not to offend. The Trinamool Congress criticised the display, suggesting it was an attempt to gain favour with the BJP.

पश्चिम बंगाल के हावड़ा में एक गणेश पूजा 'हिंदू राष्ट्र' थीम के कारण विवादों में घिर गई है। इसमें भगवान गणेश के साथ प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की प्रतिमा भी लगाई गई है। आयोजकों का कहना है कि यह थीम देश और धर्म का प्रतीक है, किसी को ठेस पहुँचाने का इरादा नहीं था। तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने इसकी आलोचना करते हुए इसे बीजेपी को खुश करने की कोशिश बताया है।
