AIMIM प्रमुख असदुद्दीन ओवैसी ने उत्तर प्रदेश में मतदाता सूची संशोधन को लेकर समाजवादी पार्टी के अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव के कार्यों पर सवाल उठाए हैं। ओवैसी ने आरोप लगाया कि SIR अभ्यास के बाद एक हजार नाम हटा दिए गए और दावा किया कि उनकी पार्टी ने हैदराबाद और तेलंगाना में कई मतदाताओं को नामांकित करने में मदद की है। उन्होंने यादव पर मतदाताओं के नाम बचाने के लिए पर्याप्त प्रयास नहीं करने का आरोप लगाया। ओवैसी ने भाजपा और मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की भी आलोचना की, यह सुझाव देते हुए कि राजनीतिक बहस धार्मिक विभाजन के बजाय गरीबी और आर्थिक असमानता पर केंद्रित होनी चाहिए।
