सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली विरोध प्रदर्शनों से संबंधित 9 अक्टूबर के अपने आदेश के कथित उल्लंघन के लिए अधिकारियों को अवमानना नोटिस जारी किया है। आरोपों में मेट्रो स्टेशनों को बंद करना और हजारों प्रदर्शनकारियों को हिरासत में लेना शामिल है। वकीलों ने दलील दी कि अधिकारियों ने निर्देशों का पालन नहीं किया, जिससे व्यवधान और कर्फ्यू जैसा माहौल पैदा हुआ। केंद्र ने इन दावों का खंडन करते हुए कहा कि मेट्रो सेवाएं काफी हद तक जारी रहीं और हिरासत कानून के अनुसार थी। अदालत ने कथित अवमाननाकर्ताओं को 13 अक्टूबर तक जवाब दाखिल करने का निर्देश दिया है।
