Hyderabad Police Freeze Rs 2 Lakh in Honey-Trap Accused's Accounts

Hyderabad police have frozen Rs 2 lakh in the bank accounts of a 23-year-old man accused of operating a honey-trap scheme. The accused, K Pavan Kumar, allegedly posed as a woman on social media to extort money from victims, having defrauded them of approximately Rs 25 lakh since 2024. He was arrested on October 19 following a complaint by an engineering student. Further investigations revealed he had chatted with over 1,000 people and stored private content from 82 individuals for blackmail. Another cheating case was also registered against him.
