UP Voter List Irregularities Lead to Transfer of 2 Pilibhit SDMs

Two Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) in Pilibhit, Mayank Goswami and Hemant Chaudhary, have been transferred following irregularities found in the voter list. The issue involved discrepancies in EPIC numbers and voter data, with over 13,000 forms entered between May and August 2026 under their tenures. Election Commission had ordered an investigation after complaints surfaced. An FIR was filed against the officials and a computer operator for alleged misuse of official positions and electoral record manipulation. The transfers are seen as administrative action against electoral process anomalies.

पीलीभीत में दो सब-डिविजनल मजिस्ट्रेट (एसडीएम), मयंक गोस्वामी और हेमंत चौधरी, को वोटर लिस्ट में पाई गई गड़बड़ियों के बाद तबादला कर दिया गया है। इस मामले में EPIC नंबर और वोटर डेटा में विसंगतियां थीं, जिसमें उनके कार्यकाल के दौरान मई और अगस्त 2026 के बीच 13,000 से अधिक फॉर्म दर्ज किए गए थे। शिकायतें सामने आने के बाद चुनाव आयोग ने जांच का आदेश दिया था। कथित तौर पर पद के दुरुपयोग और चुनावी रिकॉर्ड में हेरफेर के लिए अधिकारियों और एक कंप्यूटर ऑपरेटर के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज की गई थी। तबादले को चुनावी प्रक्रिया की विसंगतियों के खिलाफ प्रशासनिक कार्रवाई के रूप में देखा जा रहा है।
