A California family has donated its historic 390-acre ranch to Cal Poly after 150 years of farming. The property, which includes 100 acres of prime irrigated soil, four wells, and a seven-acre reservoir, will serve as a living classroom for students. This gift ensures the land's agricultural identity is preserved through conservation easements and enrollment in the Williamson Act. The Brughelli family's legacy of farming and land stewardship will continue through the university's educational programs.
