District Data Shows Wide Female Workforce Gaps

India's first district-level labour market data reveals significant disparities in female workforce participation. While nearly 58 per cent of districts show a female labour force participation rate of 40 per cent or higher, others like East Delhi (18.9 per cent) and Siwan (24.7 per cent) lag considerably. Overall unemployment rates remain moderate, mostly between 0.5 per cent and 5.5 per cent across districts. This new data provides granular insights into employment patterns across the nation.
