Kerala Invites Bids For Social Impact Study For Vizhinjam Port Expansion

The Kerala government has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from eligible agencies to conduct a social impact study for the second, third, and fourth phases of the Vizhinjam international seaport. The study aims to assess potential job and livelihood losses, identify affected groups like fishers and traders, and examine the challenges they face. It will cover areas including Vizhinjam and Adimalathura. Agencies must submit their EoIs by November 13 and meet specific eligibility criteria, including at least five years of experience and no government bans.

केरल सरकार ने विझिंजम अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीपोर्ट के दूसरे, तीसरे और चौथे चरण के लिए सामाजिक प्रभाव अध्ययन करने हेतु योग्य एजेंसियों से रुचि की अभिव्यक्ति (EoI) मांगी है। इस अध्ययन का उद्देश्य संभावित नौकरी और आजीविका के नुकसान का आकलन करना, मछुआरों और व्यापारियों जैसे प्रभावित समूहों की पहचान करना और उनके सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों की जांच करना है। इसमें विझिंजम और आदिमालाथुरा जैसे क्षेत्रों को शामिल किया जाएगा। एजेंसियों को 13 नवंबर तक अपनी EoI जमा करनी होगी और कम से कम पांच साल का अनुभव और किसी भी सरकारी प्रतिबंध का न होना जैसे विशिष्ट पात्रता मानदंडों को पूरा करना होगा।
