Ukraine's military has successfully evacuated a wounded soldier from the front lines using a heavy-lift aerial drone, an apparent world-first. Soldier Konstantyn Vlasenko was trapped for nearly 500 days in an area inaccessible to ground forces due to extensive mining and Russian drone activity. He had previously undergone partial self-amputations after being wounded by a Russian drone. A Ukrainian-made hexacopter, modified for the rescue, was used in a complex operation involving multiple brigades and drone diversions.
