Singer Chinmayi Sripaada Receives Legal Notice Over Alleged Song Plagiarism

Singer Kaushiki Chakraborty has issued a legal notice to Chinmayi Sripaada and songwriter Shabir Sulthan, alleging plagiarism in their Tamil song 'Vaanmathi'. Kaushiki claims verses were copied from her 2015 performance without permission or credit. Chinmayi acknowledged receiving the notice, stating she was unaware of any copied portions as a recording artist. She asserted her commitment to musical integrity and believes Shabir will address the matter legally. The song has since been removed from Shabir's social media.

गायिका कौशिकी चक्रवर्ती ने चिनमयी श्रीपदा और गीतकार शबीर सुल्तान को उनके तमिल गाने 'वानमथी' में साहित्यिक चोरी का आरोप लगाते हुए कानूनी नोटिस भेजा है। कौशिकी का दावा है कि उनकी 2015 की प्रस्तुति से बिना अनुमति या श्रेय के पंक्तियाँ चुराई गई थीं। चिनमयी ने नोटिस मिलने की बात स्वीकार की और कहा कि एक रिकॉर्डिंग कलाकार के तौर पर उन्हें किसी भी चोरी किए गए हिस्से की जानकारी नहीं थी। उन्होंने संगीत की अखंडता के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता जताई और विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि शबीर इस मामले को कानूनी रूप से सुलझाएंगे। गाने को तब से शबीर के सोशल मीडिया से हटा दिया गया है।
