Major Banks Hike Loan Rates After RBI Repo Rate Increase

Following the Reserve Bank of India's decision to raise the repo rate to 5.50 per cent, several major banks have increased their lending rates. Punjab National Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, and Indian Bank are among the lenders revising their rates upwards. This move by the RBI, which also shifted its policy stance to calibrated tightening, aims to control inflation.
