An additional sessions court in Colva has acquitted Parshuram Doranahalli, who was accused of killing his father in 2008. The court ruled that the prosecution failed to provide medical evidence to prove the death was homicidal. The prosecution alleged that Doranahalli, along with his mother, assaulted and strangled his father, motivated by alcohol-fueled harassment. They allegedly buried the body to destroy evidence, later returning to Karnataka.
