Tesla Accused of Misleading South Korean Customers on Automated Driving Tech

A consumer advocacy group in South Korea alleges Tesla misled tens of thousands of customers by marketing its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software, which cannot be legally used on most vehicles sold there. The group plans to file a complaint with the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC). While FSD is usable on about 20% of Teslas in South Korea, most vehicles are manufactured in China and are ineligible. Tesla has collected lump-sum payments for the software for years, despite charging for it before its recent activation.
