Flydubai pilot Smit Machchhar has recounted the harrowing moments of an alleged attack by his Omani co-pilot on September 30, intended to crash the plane. Machchhar, who was hit with a crash axe, stated he believed he wouldn't survive but was saved by a colleague who took control. The plane plunged nearly 14,000 feet before another pilot and passengers intervened, restraining the co-pilot. The flight, carrying 174 passengers, made a safe emergency landing in Saudi Arabia's Tabuk.
