Many passengers notice a small seat near train gates and wonder about its purpose. While some coaches have folding seats for railway staff on duty, it's incorrect to assume every gate seat is exclusively for the TTE. If the seat is designated for passengers and included in the seating arrangement, the ticketed passenger can use it. However, if it's meant for railway staff, passengers should not occupy it.
