CPI(M) Leader Demands Urgent Drought Relief For Farmers

Communist Party of India (Marxist) Politburo member B.V. Raghavulu visited drought-hit Charlapally village in Nalgonda district to assess crop losses. He interacted with distressed farmers facing severe water scarcity and deficient rainfall, noting that both paddy and cotton crops have been significantly impacted. Raghavulu demanded that the state and central governments declare Nalgonda a drought-affected region and provide input subsidies, crop insurance, and interest-free loans. He also urged procurement of damaged paddy at MSP and warned of state-wide protests if relief measures are not announced urgently.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) Politburo सदस्य बी.वी. राघवुलु ने फसल के नुकसान का आकलन करने के लिए सूखा प्रभावित चारलापल्ली गांव, नालगोंडा जिले का दौरा किया। उन्होंने गंभीर जल संकट और अपर्याप्त वर्षा का सामना कर रहे परेशान किसानों से बातचीत की, और कहा कि धान और कपास दोनों फसलों पर काफी असर पड़ा है। राघवुलु ने राज्य और केंद्र सरकारों से नालगोंडा को सूखा प्रभावित क्षेत्र घोषित करने और इनपुट सब्सिडी, फसल बीमा और ब्याज मुक्त ऋण प्रदान करने की मांग की। उन्होंने क्षतिग्रस्त धान की एमएसपी पर खरीद का भी आग्रह किया और चेतावनी दी कि यदि तत्काल राहत उपायों की घोषणा नहीं की गई तो पूरे राज्य में विरोध प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा।
