Bharti Mittal Says Eutelsat OneWeb Ahead of Starlink in Approval Queue

Bharti Enterprises chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal stated that Eutelsat OneWeb is ahead of Elon Musk's Starlink in the approval queue for satellite broadband services in India. Mittal highlighted that Eutelsat OneWeb applied five years ago, with ground networks ready for three years and satellites operational over India for five years. This comes after Musk alleged that some Indian businesses were hindering Starlink's entry. The Indian government has maintained that a fair and non-discriminatory process is being followed for all satellite communication operators.

भारती एंटरप्राइजेज के चेयरमैन सुनील भारती मित्तल ने कहा कि भारत में सैटेलाइट ब्रॉडबैंड सेवाओं के अप्रूवल की कतार में Eutelsat OneWeb, एलन मस्क के Starlink से आगे है। मित्तल ने बताया कि Eutelsat OneWeb ने पांच साल पहले आवेदन किया था, तीन साल से ग्राउंड नेटवर्क तैयार हैं और पांच साल से सैटेलाइट भारत के ऊपर काम कर रहे हैं। यह तब आया है जब मस्क ने आरोप लगाया था कि कुछ भारतीय कंपनियां Starlink के प्रवेश में बाधा डाल रही हैं। भारत सरकार ने कहा है कि सभी सैटेलाइट कम्युनिकेशन ऑपरेटरों के लिए एक निष्पक्ष और गैर-भेदभावपूर्ण प्रक्रिया का पालन किया जा रहा है।
