Odisha Youth Cong Alleges Corruption in Medical Tender Processes

The Odisha Youth Congress has accused officials at the Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited (OSMCL) of corruption and deliberate delays in tender processes. They allege that technical specifications are being changed to favour certain companies and that critical medical equipment, including refrigerators and freezers, is in short supply due to these delays. The Youth Congress also pointed to substandard furniture being supplied to government medical colleges. They are demanding an investigation and action within a month, threatening protests if their demands are not met.

ओडिशा यूथ कांग्रेस ने ओडिशा स्टेट मेडिकल कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (OSMCL) के अधिकारियों पर टेंडर प्रक्रियाओं में भ्रष्टाचार और जानबूझकर देरी करने का आरोप लगाया है। उनका आरोप है कि कुछ कंपनियों को फायदा पहुंचाने के लिए तकनीकी विशिष्टताओं को बदला जा रहा है और इन देरी के कारण रेफ्रिजरेटर और फ्रीजर सहित महत्वपूर्ण चिकित्सा उपकरणों की भारी कमी है। यूथ कांग्रेस ने सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेजों को घटिया फर्नीचर की आपूर्ति की ओर भी इशारा किया। वे एक महीने के भीतर जांच और कार्रवाई की मांग कर रहे हैं, और चेतावनी दी है कि यदि उनकी मांगें पूरी नहीं हुईं तो विरोध प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा।
