PM Modi and Swiss President Boost India-Switzerland Ties With New Trade and Tech Cooperation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held extensive talks with Swiss Confederation President Guy Parmelin in New Delhi, focusing on deepening cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure, defence, and critical technologies. The discussions aimed to build on the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), which aims to attract $100 billion in investment and create one million jobs over 15 years. Both leaders agreed to enhance market access for Indian exports and facilitate Swiss investment in various sectors.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नई दिल्ली में स्विस परिसंघ के राष्ट्रपति गाय परमेलिन के साथ व्यापक बातचीत की। इसमें व्यापार, निवेश, बुनियादी ढांचे, रक्षा और महत्वपूर्ण प्रौद्योगिकियों में सहयोग को गहरा करने पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया गया। चर्चाओं का उद्देश्य भारत-ईएफटीए व्यापार और आर्थिक भागीदारी समझौते (TEPA) को आगे बढ़ाना था, जिसका लक्ष्य 15 वर्षों में 100 बिलियन डॉलर का निवेश आकर्षित करना और दस लाख नौकरियां पैदा करना है। दोनों नेताओं ने भारतीय निर्यात के लिए बाजार पहुंच बढ़ाने और विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में स्विस निवेश को सुविधाजनक बनाने पर सहमति व्यक्त की।
