Starting, Indian telecom operators must implement the CNAP service, displaying the caller's name along with their number on incoming calls. This directive from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) aims to help users identify unknown callers and potentially combat spam and fraudulent calls. If the number is saved, the contact's name will appear; otherwise, the name registered in the subscriber's record will be shown.

अब से, भारतीय टेलीकॉम ऑपरेटरों को CNAP सेवा लागू करनी होगी, जिससे आने वाली कॉलों पर नंबर के साथ कॉलर का नाम भी दिखेगा। दूरसंचार विभाग (DoT) के इस निर्देश का मकसद उपयोगकर्ताओं को अनजान कॉल करने वालों की पहचान करने में मदद करना और स्पैम व धोखाधड़ी वाली कॉलों से निपटना है। अगर नंबर सेव है, तो संपर्क का नाम दिखेगा; नहीं तो, सब्सक्राइबर के रिकॉर्ड में दर्ज नाम दिखाया जाएगा।
