Central Teams To Visit Karnataka For Drought Relief

Three central teams will visit Karnataka to assess the drought situation and verify ground realities. The state has declared 217 of its 240 taluks as drought-affected and will submit a fresh memorandum seeking relief after the assessment. The teams will interact with local officials and examine crop losses and water scarcity. Deputy CM G Parameshwara expressed confidence that the state's assessment aligns with ground conditions, expecting minimal discrepancies. The final memorandum detailing relief sought will be submitted in the first week of October.
