26 Movie Theaters Face Cases in Statewide Crackdown Over Pricing and Water Access

Twenty-six cases have been registered and five show-cause notices issued following surprise inspections at cinema theatres across several districts. The inspections were prompted by complaints regarding lack of drinking water access, excessive pricing, and failure to display price information. Fines totaling Rs 62,000 were imposed during the second phase of follow-up checks. Several theaters were cited for selling underweight popcorn and unhygienic food storage, leading to penalties and warnings.

कई जिलों में सिनेमाघरों का अचानक निरीक्षण करने के बाद 26 केस दर्ज किए गए हैं और पांच कारण बताओ नोटिस जारी किए गए हैं। यह निरीक्षण पीने के पानी की उपलब्धता न होने, अत्यधिक मूल्य वसूलने और मूल्य की जानकारी प्रदर्शित न करने की शिकायतों के कारण किए गए थे। फॉलो-अप जांच के दूसरे चरण में कुल 62,000 रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया गया। कई थिएटरों को कम वजन का पॉपकॉर्न बेचने और अस्वास्थ्यकर भोजन भंडारण के लिए दोषी पाया गया, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप जुर्माना और चेतावनी दी गई।
