The court has prohibited the unauthorized streaming and distribution of the film on illegal websites and digital platforms. Sun Pictures, the production house, had petitioned the court, citing significant financial losses caused by piracy shortly after theatrical releases. This legal intervention aims to safeguard the film's commercial interests and maximize its theatrical run.

मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने रजनीकांत की आने वाली फिल्म 'जेलर 2' को 15 अक्टूबर को रिलीज होने से पहले ऑनलाइन पाइरेसी से कानूनी सुरक्षा प्रदान की है। कोर्ट ने अवैध वेबसाइटों और डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म पर फिल्म की अनधिकृत स्ट्रीमिंग और वितरण पर रोक लगा दी है। प्रोडक्शन हाउस सन पिक्चर्स ने कोर्ट में याचिका दायर की थी, जिसमें उन्होंने कहा था कि थिएट्रिकल रिलीज के तुरंत बाद पाइरेसी से उन्हें भारी वित्तीय नुकसान होता है। इस कानूनी हस्तक्षेप का उद्देश्य फिल्म के व्यावसायिक हितों की रक्षा करना और इसके थिएट्रिकल रन को अधिकतम करना है।
