The Andhra Pradesh government has officially approved the establishment of a new police commissionerate headquartered in Rajamahendravaram. Principal Secretary Kumar Vishwajeet issued a government order on October 5, granting permission for the new entity. The Rajamahendravaram Police Commissionerate will be led by an officer in the rank of Inspector General of Police or Deputy IGP, possessing executive magistrate powers. This new commissionerate will encompass three territorial zones, aligning with the boundaries of the existing East Godavari revenue and police districts, aiming to enhance law and order administration in the region.

आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार ने राजामहेंद्रवरम में मुख्यालय वाले एक नए पुलिस कमिश्नरेट की स्थापना को आधिकारिक तौर पर मंजूरी दे दी है। प्रधान सचिव कुमार विश्वजीत ने 5 अक्टूबर को एक सरकारी आदेश जारी कर नई इकाई के लिए अनुमति दी। राजामहेंद्रवरम पुलिस कमिश्नरेट का नेतृत्व इंस्पेक्टर जनरल ऑफ पुलिस या डिप्टी आईजीपी रैंक के अधिकारी करेंगे, जिनके पास कार्यकारी मजिस्ट्रेट शक्तियां होंगी। यह नया कमिश्नरेट तीन क्षेत्रीय क्षेत्रों को कवर करेगा, जो मौजूदा पूर्वी गोदावरी राजस्व और पुलिस जिलों की सीमाओं के अनुरूप होगा, जिसका उद्देश्य क्षेत्र में कानून और व्यवस्था प्रशासन को बढ़ाना है।
