Microfiber cloths are essential for cleaning eyeglasses, removing dust, fingerprints, and oil. However, these cloths become dirty with regular use, potentially smearing residue back onto lenses. Instead of discarding them, these cloths can be easily cleaned at home. For handwashing, use a bowl of cool or lukewarm water with a few drops of mild, bleach-free detergent, soaking the cloth for 5-15 minutes and gently rubbing it. Machine washing is also an option on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent, avoiding fabric softeners and high heat.
