Canva Launches Craft, Its First In-House AI Image Generation Model

Canva has unveiled Canva Craft, its first image-generation foundation model developed entirely in-house by its AI research unit. This new model generates images at up to 2K resolution and supports text in 55 languages, making it available globally to users. The company stated that Craft debuted as the fourth most advanced image-generation model on DesignArena, a platform for evaluating AI design models. Canva Research is now considered the world's second most advanced AI lab for image generation based on these rankings.
