BJP asks Chief Secy to discard statehood resolution

Jammu and Kashmir BJP leader Sunil Sharma has urged Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo to discard a statehood resolution passed by the assembly, stating it could strain Centre-J&K relations. Sharma claimed the resolution, which referenced autonomy and Article 370, is anti-constitutional and anti-national. He also demanded the speaker's resignation, alleging Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed displeasure over the move. Sharma stated that statehood would be restored at an appropriate time, but actions disturbing peace would not be permitted.

जम्मू और कश्मीर बीजेपी नेता सुनील शर्मा ने मुख्य सचिव अटल डुल्लू से विधानसभा द्वारा पारित राज्य का दर्जा बहाल करने के प्रस्ताव को खारिज करने का आग्रह किया है, यह कहते हुए कि इससे केंद्र-जम्मू-कश्मीर संबंधों में तनाव आ सकता है। शर्मा ने दावा किया कि स्वायत्तता और अनुच्छेद 370 का जिक्र करने वाला प्रस्ताव असंवैधानिक और राष्ट्र-विरोधी है। उन्होंने स्पीकर से इस्तीफे की भी मांग की, यह आरोप लगाते हुए कि केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने इस कदम पर नाराजगी जताई थी। शर्मा ने कहा कि राज्य का दर्जा उचित समय पर बहाल किया जाएगा, लेकिन शांति भंग करने वाले कार्यों की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी।
