Lucknow Development Authority Earns ₹2.09 Crore From Digital Booklet Downloads

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has generated ₹2.09 crore in less than three weeks by selling digital booklets for its housing schemes at ₹1,100 each. A total of 19,042 booklets were purchased for the Naimish Nagar and Varun Vihar schemes before the lottery registration closed. The LDA retains the booklet fee even if applicants do not secure a plot, and this amount is not refunded. This digital-only model, mandated to reduce paper usage, places an upfront financial burden on prospective homebuyers before they know their chances of securing a property.

लखनऊ डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (LDA) ने अपने हाउसिंग स्कीमों के लिए ₹1,100 प्रति डिजिटल बुकलेट बेचकर तीन हफ्तों से भी कम समय में ₹2.09 करोड़ कमाए हैं। लॉटरी रजिस्ट्रेशन बंद होने से पहले नैमिष नगर और वरुण विहार स्कीमों के लिए कुल 19,042 बुकलेट खरीदे गए थे। LDA बुकलेट की फीस रख लेता है, भले ही आवेदक को प्लॉट न मिले, और यह राशि वापस नहीं की जाती है। कागज के उपयोग को कम करने के लिए अनिवार्य इस डिजिटल-ओनली मॉडल ने प्रॉपर्टी मिलने की संभावना जानने से पहले ही संभावित घर खरीदारों पर शुरुआती वित्तीय बोझ डाल दिया है।
