Four Girls Drown While Bathing in Bihar Pond, Days After Pune Incident

Four girls drowned while bathing in a pond in Bihar's East Champaran district on Friday morning. The incident occurred around 9:30 am in Bankat village when the girls ventured into deep water. The deceased have been identified as sisters Sonawati Kumari (13) and Phoolwati Kumari (10), along with Sonali Kumari (10) and Pratibha Kumari (12). The girl who stayed on the bank alerted villagers, leading to the recovery of all four bodies. Authorities stated that compensation will be provided to the families once the deaths are confirmed as drowning.

बिहार के पूर्वी चंपारण जिले में शुक्रवार सुबह नहाते समय चार लड़कियों की डूबकर मौत हो गई। यह घटना बैंकट गांव में सुबह करीब 9:30 बजे हुई जब लड़कियां गहरे पानी में चली गईं। मरने वालों की पहचान बहनों सोनावाटी कुमारी (13) और फूलवाटी कुमारी (10) के साथ-साथ सोनाली कुमारी (10) और प्रतिभा कुमारी (12) के रूप में हुई है। जो लड़की किनारे पर रुकी थी उसने ग्रामीणों को सतर्क किया, जिससे चारों शवों को बरामद किया गया। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि मौत की पुष्टि डूबने से होने के बाद परिवारों को मुआवजा दिया जाएगा।
