Times of India · environment

Delaware celebrated its state parks' 75th anniversary by planting the 75,000th tree, fulfilling a five-year objective across 17 parks. This milestone, achieved on October 19 at Trap Pond State Park, aligns with a broader state initiative aiming to plant one million trees by 2030. The program, part of Delaware's climate change response, encourages widespread participation. The initiative specifically targets state parks, while the million-tree goal encompasses the entire state, with over half a million trees already planted statewide.
